How does chrysin help to lighten dark under-eye circles
Chrysin is a natural ingredient and can be found in honey and passion flower and is known to lighten the dark circles under the eyes. No wonder so many home remedies suggest using honey under the eyes.
The reason why dark under-eye circles form often comes down to red blood cells seeping out of the tiny capillaries in the delicate under-eye skin. It's an unfortunate outcome of blood vessel walls quality slowly degrading as we age.
As the red blood cells escape the vascular system and enter the extracellular space they need to be broken down and removed in a process not unlike that of bruise healing. Various enzymes rush into action and break the red blood cell down into smaller particles, including bilirubin and iron. Bilirubin is the yellow pigment that gives the under-eye skin the sallow tone.
It will however take weeks to clear out all the by-products of this process. Chrysin speeds up this process significantly by activating the enzymes that break down the red blood cells and clear out the by-products.
I've decided to use chrysin in it's pure form in the CUKIER Under-Eye Serum for maximum efficiency and also to keep the serum vegan-friendly.
